Wharfedale, Airedale & Craven Alliance

Federation of GP practices

ABOUT US

Wharfedale, Airedale & Craven Alliance (WACA) is a tightly-knit federation of eight independent, innovative GP practices covering a population of 72,000 patients. We are rooted in providing very high quality clinical care with the patient at the centre of our decision making.

WHAT WE DO

We are an independent voice of primary care within the three diverse communities of the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group region.

We are a provider organisation and aim to both represent and facilitate general practice at scale to our member practices, whilst maintaining our individuality.

As a CQC-registered limited company, we will also provide innovative services in conjunction with our member practices and other provider organisations.

VISION

  • Key local player, maintaining local identity and influence
  • Collaborative forward-thinking organisation
  • Innovative in form and function
  • Financially independent and resilient
  • Be a great place to work!

VALUES

Key local provider and active engagement with local stakeholders. Patient first – we provide high quality care/services. We want to be the local employer of choice.

OUR BOARD

Our Board has a vision for growth over the next five years that will deliver an enhanced portfolio of health and wellbeing services to the communities we serve, working closely with other service providers such as voluntary sector groups, NHS hospital trusts and local authorities.

The role of the Board is to create these opportunities through collaboration and influencing, and to steer the Alliance and our communities through the challenges that lay ahead.
